was born in renwick street in kinning park ,can you tell me anything about it .
people that lived there don't know where it was ?

It ran south off Scotland Street West just about in line with Suffock Street. It lies under the M8 now. My dad Archie McLaughlin was born there in 1934 and moved to Pollok about 1949.

I went to Renwick Street a few years ago,when it was being demolished. I spoke to a workman and he gave me the streeet sign from a building in the process of being pulled down. It is ouside my house now in the Western Isles

Guest, that may well be true. His parents had lots of brothers and sisters (Mother's name was Hamilton). If you ever go to see Scotland Street museum there is a picture of boys playing football. Two of the names are Jimmy and Neilly McLaughlin and my dad had uncles with that name. I wonder if there are the same !
