I remember it well.
Her name was Mary - and she was the first lassie tae take me hame wie her! I believe she was of West Indian extraction - as she had that really wiry head of hair.
We had exchanged Valentine cards (she would be aboot eight, me, mibbe as much as nine! lol) on the day, and she lived doon the Kelvindale Road. So,... aff a went,... tae meet ma doom! When we goat up intae her hoose - her (I think) younger sister kept pestering us - me? awe ah wanted wiz fur the grun tae open up, and swallie me,... WHOLE!
Finally,... the deed wiz done,... and ah wiz off back up the road - feeling the right 'wee man' lol A kiss - frae big rosy red lips
Footnote : Sadly, I glimpsed her crossing the road, from the barracks tae Molly's Newsagents - some years later - wan bairn in the pram - and another oan the wie, and not much more than 15. I remember being quite shocked - she didnae see me. often wundered how life mapped oot fer her

I had lots of wee boyfriends in the street but I never gave ma furst kiss away till a was thirteen , it was a holiday romance lol. This all took place down in lovely Troon, a had to sneek away to meet him as I thought, but my sister told me years later that she was usually at ma back keeping her eye on me ,,,, or better yet him , he was sixteen at the time. Afrer that heartbreaking experience I saved all of my kisses till a was seventeen,Mmmmmm

Lass is wee davy included
My first kiss was in the playground of my primary school (Shakespeare) the boys and girls had seperate playgrounds, anyway a few of my pals grabbed me and took me to the fence at the boys playground and some of the boys grabbed a boy I was mad on (at 8 years old) lol! him and his family were from Aberdeen and lived in my street, and I was very friendly with his brother, but daft about him, is that possible to feel like that at such a young age? I remember both our faces being pushed through the gap in the dividing fence and we could not get away until the kiss took place oh for those days!
Davy that's awful. Love your Avatar, bye the way, very tranquil.
