I got it wrong about our Blue Bins being emptied every Saturday.
The leaflet started off saying every Saturday, but reading further on it's actually one Saturday in the month, as my husband pointed out. wub.gif

We've had no problems so far, but it's early days yet.

I wonder why the Council decided to change the Bin collections, or who's gaining from it or what they are trying to prove. I do know that the Councillors we have just now seem to be a law unto themselves.
It's like they are sticking two fingers at the public and we are just letting them away with it.

They won't repair schools but prefer to close them, making children travel outwith their area.
They give money to useless projects.
Now the carry on over bin collections.
Why change a system that was working perfectly well.
What next????

We put the purple bins out full of bottles late on Friday night. Result mother was woken about 1am on Saturday morning by kids chucking bottles at each other. Another fantastic idea-not. My mother and the neighbours spent Saturday morning sweeping broken glass off the road.
