good stuff mate.
go to youtube.com in the top right corner of the page click "upload" you can change the privacy setting where it says "public"...don't though if you want to embed it here then click the grey and white arrow that appears in the middle of the screen. a pop up window will appear showing your comps folders....find the file you want to upload and click it once (the name of the file will jump into the wee box below) then click "open" in the pop up window. the youtube page will then change to its "publishing" page while your video uploads. you can add a description or any details you want here.
just click "publish" when its done and your video will be uploaded onto youtube. it might take a while but should be ok for short vids.
then you just take a note of the address of the youtube page and do as you did before to embed it
during that process it might ask you to register with them...its easily done by just filling in your email address etc.....if your registered with any google products youl just need to sign in instead of registering.

Thanks KTV, I have copied and pasted the instuctions and printed so I will give it a try and let you know how I get on. One last question ( just fur noo ) when I click on that John West picture ad, the film is very faded to the point I cant see it, but the sound is fine, would this be a computer issue or am I not downloading all the colours in the film. When you click on the picture from your end, can you see the movie clearly ?

to add a simple pic you just either click the postcard above the reply box (if you click "add reply" instead of "fast reply") then just past the address of the pic there.
or an easy way to do it is just add [ I m g] then [/ I m g ] at either end of the address without the spaces and using the brackets mind

Sorry for being a pain ktv.
I wasn`t trying to download the picture, it was the video itself.
I tried (youtube)i.ytimg.com/viT2h(/youtube) But maybe the file is too large to download as all I get is a blank screen.
I had to insert brackets on the youtube instead of the square brackets as the address was not showing up when I previewed the post and so you could see what I was printing

ktv, One day I want to grow up just like you.
There is a video on youtube that my son did for my 65th birthday and this is what I am trying to download. Its called " A Glasgow Birthday Wish ". Could you tell me how I would copy that video if I wanted to post it , not that I will though as I believe it is way to large, but knowing how to do it would help tremendously.
