SKL, where in earth did they get this Taylor from, through the years he has been as useless as a one armed paper hanger.
Surely N.Z have got somebody better than him? ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

Mitchell, Ross Taylor is a bit of an enigma. He has been around for a while and captained the Black Caps for a while. He is a classy player but, like the French Rugby team, you never know which Taylor will turn up!

I saw very little of the game today and didn't miss much.

Betsy the Australians are disgusting when it comes to losing in most sports.
Yes I did see that on the Guardian here.

Come on N.Z make them stay in the field for as long as possible, weather permitting.
N Z have a classy player in Williamson, let's hope I am wrong about Taylor.
NZ currently 2/129 after 48 overs.
Yes SKL I do know Ross Taylor's history. wink.gif wink.gif

Sorry to see Williamson going out, so its Taylor's chance to make up for his first innings. I see rain stopped play (for the day I suppose). Its a big ask for the team to cling on for a draw but who knows? Smith was quite annoyed when the umpires called it off during the first rainfall.

It has to be said. Mitchell Starc thoroughly deserved his $8,300 fine for his disgusting effort to hit Marc Craig, a tailender in the NZ innings. This was put down to "frustration" that the two last batsmen were proving stubborn. So what, that's what they are there for! The NZ batsmen had collapsed and were 200+runs behind - obvious to all that it was just a matter of time till the last wicket fell. This guy needs to get himself together. It was more than competitive aggression and was in fact dangerous. Good on the umpires. Good on Kiwi commentator Ian Smith for making it clear to the biased Aussie commentators what a despicable act it was.

Just what I felt we would get sooner or later from an Australian bowler - you do your country no good by your attitude, Starc. GROW UP FOR PETE'S SAKE!

Missed that SKL, but I managed to see Hazlewood cursing at one of the Kiwi batsmen earlier on.
By the looks of things the tests in Brisbane might be given the flick, as the place was empty.
What do you expect if it is was forecasting to rain for the five days.
Also the Sydney ground is having massive problems with the pitch, they abandoned the NSW and Victoria game as it was too dangerous to play on.
NZ will struggle over in Perth next week, as it will be the usual doctored wicket to suit their ( Australian) fast bowlers.

Typical Aussie reaction when things aren't going their way ! They can talk the talk all they want but, when it comes to things not going their way, Aussies are the biggest whingers in the world ! But, what more can you expect when their Vice-Captain is one of the world's greatest sledgers !

No excuses, absolutely disgraceful bowling from N.Z.
On a wicket that assists pace.
Sorry SKL but turned off watching this pathetic performance.

No argument from me, Mitchell - I gave up before you did! To say they are disappointing is an understatement but I often feel that the only consistent thing about NZ cricket is their inconsistency.

I don't think I will be watching tomorrow either, just to see the Australians getting some batting practice.

That's better N.Z well played Williamson 103 n.o and Taylor 73 n.o
As I said months ago, you have to keep Australia in the field for a long time.
Nice to see an N.Z player use is feet well.

Great to finally see some fight back from NZ and pleasing to see Ross Taylor hitting a bit of form. Score right now is 2/335, with Williamson on 165 and Taylor on 120. The pitch doesn't seem to be giving the bowlers much help either. I bet Brendan McCullum is itching to get out there too, but not too soon I hope!

A bit of heartening news on a dreadful day for world peace.

Yes it is terrible news from France.
Anyhow the Aussies are now whinging about the ball, how many times is that it has been changed by them?
Did not see N.Z complain when Australia hit 500 odd runs with it.
Williamson just out with ANOTHER change of ball, this is pathetic Australia.

Well done to the Kiwis, especially Ross Taylor - just a shame he couldn't make the 300.

I see that not one of the Aussies shook his hand when he was dismissed - no surprises there! The last day should be a good one but it is looking more and more like a draw.

No SKL, Aussies more interested in congratulating no-name substitute, who we will never hear about again, for taking the catch, rather than recognising the outstanding performance of an opponent. Mr Smith, the Captain, is protecting his figures, as shown by the fact that he continued to bat on, giving NZ absolutely no chance of going for an unexpected victory. Sadly, if Oz has no chance of winning a game, they make sure no one else can, either ! The immature Mr Smith has to be the most insecure Australian Captain, ever !
