Austin Cambridge or Morris Qxford?-they made these in India till 2005!-called them Hindustani Ambassadors and fitted a Isuzu Diesel engine in them-a guy was selling them in England for a while but too much hassle getting them registered as they were not "E" marked and had to go to main mot stations to get type approved.

My first car was in 1959 and was a triumph herald coupe. it was two tone blue with white wall tyres. It was a really odd little car but it looked snazzy and i thought it would attract the lassies (it didnt) It didnae have a bonnet as such the whole front end lifted up exposing the entire engine and front end. It had an awful gearbox and leaked like a sieve and once when i was driving in in the city centre the accelerator link got stuck and the engine raced like mad. I jist switched the engine off and jumped oot thinking the thing was going to blow up (it didnt) It was slow and drove terribly and the heater never worked and broke down quite often, but do you know what.........Ah jist loved it to bits clown.gif oh to be young again

My first car was a 1964 Vauxhall Victor, great wee car silent as a ghost when idling.

Like Doug1 i I have owned two Triumphs first one a 1973 Triumph 2000, second a 1981 Triumph Chicane 2500 both cursed with oil leaks mainly from the leather oil seals
