The Kirkintilloch services were numbered from 170 to 175 which were all previously operated under the Lawsons name until 1961 even though they were owned by Alexanders. From 1961 they operated as Alexander Midland and the buses were repainted from red to blue. These services ran from the now closed Kirkintilloch depot. Other servicee to Kirkie were the 1 group of services to Kilsyth via Twechar ( later renumbered 191 to 198) and the 14 to Dunfermline and the 18 (later 20) to Falkirk. The 1s ran from the depot at Kilsyth gone too.
To Garthamlock via Ruchazie was the 2 group of services ( later numbered 1/1a/1b) and the 2 to Gartosh. There was also a 29 to Garthamlock via Edinburgh Road and Stepps Road - all these services were operted by Alexander's Stepps depot. The 1d ran to Garthamlock via Royston Road.
SMT (Eastern Scottish) ran the 194 (later renumbered the 211) green bus via Royston Road , Ruchazie and Garthamlock to Easterhouse. It operated latterly from Baillieston depot closed as well.
And yes it was a tatty shelter that the 211 left from behind the bus station on a soare piece of land.
Hope this is of interest .
