Chopin was terrified about being buried alive, a fear that writer Edgar Alan Poe also had.Both men died in 1849, Poe also has a Scottish connection in that he went to school in Irvine.

Me ! I`ve warned my husband stick pins ,anything sharp in me ,and make sure i`m deid ! Getting older now,nearly 78 I think like that a lot. I should get out more tongue.gif

Not an uncommon fear. Atavistic horror. There are 7 medical syndromes, catalepsy being the most common, where death is apparent; flat lining on a cardio- brain wave machine.
