Just in case the pop ups are not directly related to this site, it might be worth downloading MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware and running some scans, if you don't already use them. CCleaner is also another good program to help keep your pc running smoothly.

All of them are free, and although they may offer you paid/professional/premium versions, the free versions are more than adequate:

https://www.malwarebytes.org/free/

http://www.superantispyware.com/downloadfi...ANTISPYWAREFREE

http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

Just be careful to untick any preticked options to include Google Chrome or any other downloads that you may not want.

I assume you already use a free anti virus program ?

CCleaner should find stuff to remove every time you run a scan, such as temp files, cookies, obsolete log files, etc. It used to be called CrapCleaner, and that's exactly what it does to your pc.

MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware scans should detect any potential problems, such as tracking cookies, or any malware or spyware that may be causing those unwanted pop ups.

Some folk run scans every day, but once a week might be enough depending on your web usage.

Does anybody else have the same problem as me, any page I open up on the boards will highlight various words that will open up an information box even when the cursor only passes over it.
Any ideas in how to get rid of this annoying feature.
