George, when did you work opposite the doll's hospital? If it was in the 1960's, can you not remember the tailor's I'm talking about?

Melody, maybe our wee roddy dolly's were in hospital together all these years ago! I wish I'd kept my dolly. I still have my teddy, he's awful old now but his arms & legs move, his head can turn and he still growls when you turn him over, he sits in my office to keep me company..... ..oop's, I'd better get back to the subject in question.........noo wit wiz the name o' that tailor's?

Thank you SOOOO much for the memory of the doll's hospital - HOW COULD I HAVE forgotten that gem! My dolly was a patient there for a while. I am also so glad I lived in those times. Next time I'm in Argyle Street I will stop a few people and ask them "Could you direct me to the Doll's Hospital " ............for mischief wink.gif

The store I believe you are thinking of was Tom Martin's, a small mutiple tailors. There was also a gents tailors called Jackson's located close to it. Despite the name it was not associated with the mutiple tailors of the same name
