QUOTE
He kept bees in the old town of Effin,
an Effin bee keeper wis he,
and one day this Effin bee keeper,
goat stung, by a big Effin bee.

Now this big Effin bee keepers wee Effin wife,
for the big Effin polis she ran,
for there's no one can sort oot a big Effin bee,
like a big Effin polisman can

now the big Effin polisman he did his nut
and he ran doon the main Effin street,
in his haun a big Effin baton
and big Effin boots on his feet.

Now the polis got hold of this big Effin bee,
and he twisted the Effin bees wings,
but this big Effin bee got his ain back,
for this big Effin bee had two stings.

Now their both in the Effin museum,
and the Effin folk oft' come tae see,
the remains of the big Effin polis
stung to death by the big Effin bee.

Thanks tae Matt McGinn.

For me, "People Make Glasgow" is a fitting description of what was one of the things that stood out to me the most when I visited in the spring for my first time. Besides the family roots I explored, the amazing architecture, history, beautiful green spaces, trails and parks and great transit system, the hospitality and friendliness of the people made my trip even more memorable.

On numerous occasions, I asked a stranger on the street, "Excuse me, can I ask you for some information please?" "Of course" came the reply most often. Once the information was received and often a wee chat besides, my "Thank you very much for that" was most often responded to with "Nae Bother!"

On one occasion, a couple, upon finding out that I had only been there a few days visiting from Canada, took me to a whiskey bar and bought me a drink of scotch as their welcome gift. Hospitality doesn't get better than that!

So, be proud of who you are! The people do make Glasgow special and that's a rare find in the world we live in these days.

What will visitors make of Glasgow this week end when thousands attend a loyalist march through the city centre. And how can GCC justify canceling this years Glasgow Show when the cost of the disruption and loss to businesses due to above event will far exceed the budget for one of Glasgow's most popular summer attractions

But they were fellow Better Together campaigners, you didn't seem to mind them then, did you?

I'm a practicing Roman Catholic so your comment is not only abusive and offensive it tars the overwhelming majority if those who voted NO clearly you are one of those who will never accept the result and will continue to be bitter ,what a sad way to live .I take it an apology is not in the cards..

Boys surely it's possible to keep religion out of this?
For all you know some 'loyalist' could bang the drum but vote 'yes' in private and vice versa with other religions.
Far too personal to be throwing insults.
