and 2 pounds for a cup of hot water for my husband`s own herbal teabag.! We`ve just been in Scotland and England, especially England, the price of eating out is astronomical in these quaint old English pubs, that`s what we paid for the ancient atmosphere, certainly not the food which was very ordinary at all times.

Come to sunny Andalucía, where you get free food with every drink. Yesterday we had a beer or a Coke for 1 pound 40 with a free cheeseburger and chips !

Went out last night to our local seafood franchise restaurant.

Hake and Calamari for me, Hake and Prawns for my wife with drinks £10.80 total, I think the secret of the 'special' is the price

In Glasgow Green for the World Pipe band Championships yesterday and going back today.
All the hot food wagons I think have set their prices the same:-
Fish and chips £7.50
Battered sausage and chips £6.50
Chips £3.00
Curry sauce or cheese for chips£1.00
Beer tent prices
Can of beer/cider £4.00
25ml spirit £2.00
Draught lager £4.00

Quite busy yesterday but looking out my window extremely busy now and lots more police presence for VJ day threat.

Usual British rip-off of a captive clientele.

At those prices I assume that the "Ned Kelly" Australian pipe and gun band was the guest of honour.

Special Fish Supper. Breaded fish instead of batter.
I have spent the last 56 years looking for it in many chippies throughout England.
Never found one yet. Main reason given is that the breadcrumbs contaminate the frying oil too easily.

I do believe that the previous post was referring to the U.K. and not a U.K. themed holiday park.
