Just re read all the posts and its taken me back to my childhood like it was yesterday. I grew up in stravanan went to windlaw primary then onto Grange secondary. I recognised some of the names mentioned, I had a great childhood there, going up the braes to the flagpole or fishing in the wee reservoir behind carmunock and getting chased out of it!! I noticed its been a while since the last post so hopefully people can bring more of their memories to the forum. My timeline was the seventies and eighties

It was taken over the hole in the wall looking west in 1959, the purple shaded area is Ardencraig St, the yellow area is Drakemyre/ Raithburn area of the Valley. You can see Dougrie Rd and the area where the high flats in Dougrie Pl would be built between 1962/64.

Hi does anyone know a Susan Mckinnes and her brother David I think he is called. David worked in the storeroom, and Susan on the shop floor at Woolworths in Shawlands Arcade . This would have been 72 / 74. My name was Christine Graham at the time, thanks.

Found another pic that I had on my hard drive !

Dont know where I got it from - or why certain areas are highlighted !

I know the direction of where the photograph was took and the what the streets are - but I wont spoil it for you - as its fun to work it out. It looks to be taken before Castlemilk was fully built...

Looking for the exact location of the hill where the photo of the Castlemilk Lads was taken....

I'm looking for a Brain who would be about 67 now. I think he was friends with George Harwood who was a painter & decorator and lived in Barlarnock in mid 60's. Pendeen Crescent to be precise. George was also pals with Jimmy Smith from Cranhill and a guy named Frank. I was adopted in 1966 and my birth dad Brian went to my birth mums door hours too late after I'd been given to a new family. Brian was small only about 5' 5", mid brown hair and dressed as a smart mod. Do these names ring any bells with anyone?

Just wondering also if anyone remembers Brian McMullan, he was in a band in the 60's and possibly came from Garthamlock. Many thanks.
