Hi TVTAM. I recognise most of your teachers. I was at the primary from 1958 to 1963, I think.
My teachers were : Mrs McBride, Mr. Milton, Mr Quin, Mrs Smith, Mr Cruikshank (Music).
Other teachers in the school at the time were :
Br. Walfrid (Headmaster), Br. Eustace (Walfrid’s sidekick), Mr Donaldson
I remember the jannie was Charlie – I never knew his second name. But he lived at the top of Montrose Street. I used to help him getting the milk crates to the class rooms every morning for which I received ‘broken biscuits’ on a Friday. And I used to 'help' him stoke the boiler sometimes! The best days of our lives!
