Jags, briefly the answer is that yes indeed, I can see the hypocrisy - he's not the first and he won't be the last.

If I could choose one organisation to invest a decent sum of money, and the right people into run it correctly, trust me it would be the NHS above all else.

He is a hypocrite like so many others, it is for that reason that I'm not surprised by his going to a tax haven, in fact I'm sure he intended all along to do so. I bet he already has at least one home in the general area of Monaco, if could be bothered I'd research it.

Why do you call those who voted to leave the EU 'rats' ?

I don't, only those who who can afford to flee from the mess they helped create.

Can you not see the hypocrisy of someone who lived in Switzerland until 2016 who then returned to the UK claiming he was going to live here now and campaign for Brexit, then 20 months (and a knighthood) later he's off to live in a tax haven with all his £billions leaving the rest of us to clear up the mess he helped create?

The NHS won't be seeing a penny of his money.

'Scotland has to get away from westminster'

Scotland got its chance but fortunately there werent enough voters stupid enough to swallow Wee
Eck's book of economic fairytales.
So what can Scotland do now ? well the Selfie Queen could call a scottish general election and ask for a mandate to declare UDI ! Needless to say that wont happen, much easier to continue playing
the grievance cards keep blaming Westminster and hoping something will turn up that might swing opinion in the gnats favour. The problem is that if Brexit is a disaster and clearly thats what the gnats
on this forum seem to want then no one outside the saltire waving brigade is likely to vote for yet
another 'exit'

THus Scotland aint gwtting away from Westminster anytime soon.

You really should tale a look at petalpeeps post at how to put forward a well thought out argument without resorting to insults and childish name calling.

The SG don't need a call for a Holyrood general election for a mandate for UDI, they got a mandate from the electorate at the last Westminster GE to hold a second independence referendum which was passed by an all party vote in Holyrood.

Supporters of independence have no say in the Brexit negotiations it's your fellow union flag waving separatists who are in charge, it is they who are making this a disaster.

Scotland will get away from Westminster sooner than you think.

DJ, why don't you attempt to justify your stance on Scottish independence or Brexit, by giving one good reason why we are better ruled by England or that we are better out of EU. All you do is make sneery references to our FMs, past and present, displaying a lack of imagination, and bordering on the obsessive.

I can only speak for myself as an independence and EU supporter , but what I want is not for Brexit to be a disaster, but for it not to happen, as the ramifications would directly affect me as a UK pensioner, together with many family members and friends in UK.

Anyone with more than two brain cells can see that.

The other night I watched a film depicting the rounding up of Jews in 1942 Paris and I was horrified, although I had seen other accounts over the years, to see the similarities to present-day UK, where the WM government displays attitudes towards "foreigners" as in fascist Germany, together with a minority of knuckle-dragging, uneducated of the populace. I am relieved to say that such attitudes are less evident among the Scottish people, with the exception of certain organisations, and certainly are not encouraged by Holyrood as they are by WM.

It is high time that Scotland left the UK and allowed England to stand on its own two feet, without the enormous subsidies from us.

I apologise if this post is on the wrong thread, but I did not start that. In any case, the two independence topics are inextricably intertwined.
