yep i remember the andros right across fae the subway it was ah fav waterinhole ferr us the butchers that worked in napiers greatwestern rd in the early 70s . the manager ferr the life o me ah canny remember his name think it wis pat ran ah great shop his wife wis blond bit bigger than him . you could get ah meal hiv ah wee singsong , dominoes my fav geme an pool doon the stair . sadly pat died o ah heart attack an wintergill took it ower . tried tae turn it intae ah better class place stopping the domino an pool league but efter humble pie had tae bring baith back .quarter gill shop good pint o guinness . thats ma recollections might be wrang here an there , but no much .it has recently been renovated went on ah tour o great western road boot 2 year ago wie ma son sadly, in aw the waterholes ah wance frequented never saw ah familiar face . wiz it bob dylan said times like ah jet plane it moves too fast.
