I've used Chrome for many years now and like it a lot but I also have to use Explorer as I find that Twitter for one occasionally wont for whatever reason load onto Chrome but when I swap over to IE it loads perfectly. The nuisance is that I now have to duplicate many of my bookmarks onto both browsers. Such is life!

I still haven't indulged in Facebook or Twitter, which I know are very popular, but every time I switch my computer on, and this is something I've just noticed in the past few months, I get a window asking me to sign in to Google backup - which I've never done, so I just quit and carry on.

Question is this - has anyone ever used Google Backup, and if so, is it any better or more useful than the backup already on my computer?

i use google for nearly everything these days but ive never had a pop up so id be a wee bit suspicious

Re Red Road Petition (Questionaire)?
I have been unable to vote as I can se part of the first question but not enough to make sense of it.
The second question, I couldn't see at all, nor could I se al of the ballot box, the part where one would make their mark was/is almost totally obscured. Thank you.

personally, I think its the little green elves behind the screen that's causing all the problems.

I am having a very peculiar problem which I've never had in all my years on the Boards.

I keep getting email notification every time one of the members contributes to the Scottish Independence thread, saying that I have subscribed to it.

Well, it's not a subject of great interest to me, therefore, it is not one that I would, or have, subscribed too.

When I go to the option to as it were, 'unsubscribe' there is no feature for this, simply saying I have 'already subscribed to this topic' is no good and very annoying.

???????

ONLY ON GG.

I keep getting adverts for 888Poker and some Games..

I also get some words highlighted Green which lead me to email-v3.com.

I have been advised that they may be paid for Adverts. ??

Anyone else ?

???????

Carmella & Dylan, if you go to your Profile/Control Panel, there is a Subscriptions option in the left hand menu. If you click on that are you able to unsubscribe, or is that what you have already tried ?

Sorry, I haven't seen any of those, but I do use an adblocker which may be stopping them.

I use AdblockPlus, which is a free add on from Firefox. It may be available for other browsers too. But I have just disabled it here on the forums and still don't see those pop ups or ads which you are getting.

OK, dc, I appreciate your help.

Many thanks.

I am useless with computers. I never used one at work as I retired before they came in and as I have no interest, I never learned.
