Hi, new to the boards, great reading. Could someone answer a question for my dad (age 85) he grew up in Gallowgate and came to Canada 50 years ago he remembers a railway bridge between Millerston St and Biggar St. It had written on the side of it "Croft Motors" Is it still there, if not when was it demolished? Thanks for your help.

The bridge you refer to crossed the Gallowgate at Camlachie, at Biggar Street / Stamford Street, next to the Croft Garage. It did bear the Croft logo, and was demolished in the early 1980's.
