His Westminster regime has contradicted every point he has tried to make so i won't even attempt to respond to his monologue.

we need to be putting our differences aside and our politicians should be leading from the front accordingly, not bringing up issues that famously divide us

Yet dividing us is exactly what your Westminster regime are doing by shutting out our government and the Welsh and NI administrations, that says everything we need to know about your movement. yes.gif

Jagz, you are wasting your time addressing me as if I live in England. My lot and your lot, as you like to put it, are the same. I get why you say it, what I don't get is how it is going to help us fight our common enemy right now, Coronavirus.

Ash, you are intentionally conflating two things, in order to excuse the one in question. You are comparing the formal opposition to the Government's policies, to the Yes Campaign. If Nigel Farage was calling for Brexit (I say, wishing it hadn't happened) in the middle of all this, I'm pretty sure you would not be as forgiving.

Why any campaign would want to associate itself with Covid and the Governmental handling of it all across these isles, is strange enough, but when high ranking Government Ministers start getting involved, questions have to be asked. I'll say again, it is a distraction when deaths from Covid are at their worst. As I type, the public are queuing outside pharmacies and surgeries in freezing temperatures, not polling stations, to get their freedom back.

Nothing else matters right now, so I would suggest that all members of each parliament think twice before appealing to voters, because by continuing with high profile campaigns that frankly offer nothing and endanger our present struggle - and which will assuredly rear their ugly heads again with renewed interest when life eventually returns to normal - they are sapping vital energy out of the nationwide effort against coronavirus. Every life counts at the moment. Not every vote.

Give it a rest, you have no right, when so many lives are at stake! mad.gif

Unfortunately you, DJ and those others in your telephone box, are the ones who are out of touch.

Carry on regardless, Ash. Your Politics are clearly important to you.

All I care about is getting out of lockdown, and the numbers I worry about are hospital admissions and vaccinations (despite what Jagz may say about me).

The only victory I'm looking for is seeing life return to normal. Until then, as far as I'm concerned, we're all in the same battered lifeboat.

What you hope to gain by pitting us all against one another at this testing time is beyond me.

And pitting us against each other is exactly what your Westminster regime (it is yours, you campaign for Westminster rule) have done for centuries, we will not get out of the Covid and Brexshit mess until we have full powers and all our resources to do so.

So now its Covid and Brexit. What on Earth could withstand so sophisticated a prosecution?

Somehow, I think you rather wilfully oft mistake me for a gallant Knight of the Realm, an off duty Beefeater, or maybe you've watched one too many episodes of Downton, almost to the point where you're believable. Yet how could I live with myself, if I spoiled an ageing man's recreational distortions when anyone can see the shackles of honesty and integrity no longer serve him any purpose.

Although your characterisation of me doesn't match the totality of my posts, don't let that stop you exercising your powers of imagination will you? blink.gif

Sorry buddy, but it does. You have peddled plenty of policies over the piece but what they have in common is that you have been consistently anti SNP. No shame in that, but don't hide behind that huge mound you consider to be the higher moral ground.

You have no idea what all or any of us are dealing with in relation to the virus so stop talking down to us about how serious the situation is. Take my word, I for one don't need your platitudes thank you.

No need to apologise, Ash.

"peddled plenty of policies"

Care to elaborate on your alliteration? confused2.gif

Criticising the Government is not the same as criticising the SNP. You should try it, it's liberating!

This crisis is affecting us all, on this we can agree, and that's enough for now, so I say let's leave the everyday Politics of division in Scotland to the day when we've finally got this virus beat and life returns to normal. dry.gif

I wasn't apologising, I was merely saying I was sorry for you rolleyes.gif

Thanks for the invitation to review your posts, please don't take offence if I decline. Perhaps, as a start, you could have a look at the rubbish you spouted in support of Jo Swinson huh.gif

For the umteenth time, I am a socialist who believes in an independent Scotland and the SNP are the only party offering that as an option. Along the way I have been critical of several SNP policies and if you check my posts you will see that.

And if you were to check my posts, you would see that I am quite capable too of supporting this particular Scot Gov in relation to the current crisis and on other matters. yes.gif

You rarely make a post on this thread that doesn't use the "Politics of division" so try practicing what you preach.

I stand against such Politics, Jagz. Which is why you and I so rarely see eye to eye! eyebrow.gif

This crisis is affecting us all ...

And some more than others unsure.gif
Just giving Mary a kiss tonight and she tells me that I'd better be careful with that kind of thing as the gut in her office at the desk immediately behind her has tesyed positive so it's now in her bureau.
"Has he been kissing you too?" the answer of course was no but there is only a meter between them and the screen is only a meter high between dessks: safe enough if every one remains sat with masks being worn when stood.
The guy's who tested negative yesterday has an uncle who has it. I guess he has a wife who has it too now..
