Great picture of the locarno George, been there loads of times, had a few drinks in mouse trap, then it wis the jiggin.
I also went to the palias went to the duke bar a couple of times.
Remember the disco bit doon stairsWhot was the name of the one near Eglington toll it was just doon frae the bus garage?. Had a big fountain in it . They mention it in the book no mean city

Hi George i think i danced in every one of them.the F&F ballroom used to have the talent night on a Sunday night it was just like a big cafe ,no booze unles you sneaked in your own

This is Iain and me at the Plaza, it had trees all over the place, we went to a Soldiers dance and at the end of the night we danced and then I sat at one of the trees and the Head soldier shouted at me to get up as they were playing God save the queen and how dare I, I said you try dancing in these heels !!!!

Loved the Plaza ,used to go with all ma pals on a Tuesday night . ALSO the Majestic on Hope Street ,loved it. No one mentions the Majestic, was I the only one who went there?

smile.gif wow great tae see those dance hall pictures ....my dad was a bouncer in the barrowland when ah wis a wean in glasgow...i am no exactly sure when it was..but he used tae tell me whit the place wis like ....i thibnk the barrowlnad was a trul unique place and still is so ahm led to believe ....thaks for those pics i was just browsing and found them
