I was in the samaratin hospital for a major op back in 1985 and yer right marina it was a big cold hospital and the beds were so big ye really did have to climb in to them ,and when ye went fer a salt bath ye had a job tae climb oot the bath they were so deep ,but the nurses were terrific but when ye were well enough to go a wee slow walk doon to the day room the laughs and the patter ye got in there off all the wummin was priceless biggrin.gif

Dear Keelie

Because ofthe amputation of my leg in 1948 and general other things ,I have been in so many hospitals \i have lost count
But no matter which one i was in, \i have to say the nurses the nurses and general staff were pretty wonderful ,and as you say , some of the pater of the other patients ( myyself as well i like to think ) were a pure tonic and went a long way towards a cure .

Tommy
