Can Brexit fix Britain? There,s no way i can see it happen. As a remainer i hope I,m wrong. One thing i do know for sure is the few will not lose out. It,s the many i feel sorry for. I can,t see much of a future for them.

I watched the (mealy mouthed) BBC special news reports all last week, timed to coincide with it being 1 year until Britain officially leaves the EU, in the hope I could learn something new. What I heard from those planning and supporting leave offered nothing tangible but consistently used words like “opportunity” or “optimism”.
Conversely, there was a procession of those representing the hospitality industry, farming, health services, fruit and vegetable growers, the care sector etc who all said there will be a chronic loss of trained, experienced workers that won’t or can’t be replaced by local people.
All this a week after one of our Foreign Secretary first actions, following the Salisbury incident, is to run to our European “friends” to get support. At the same time the man many think will be the next Tory leader, Rees-Mogg, suggests the solution to the Irish border issue is for Eire to leave the EU
Did I learn anything, yes I think so. I’ve said before that I thought Brexit would set this country back 30 years, I now think I was being too optimistic

An interesting post Prince21. It made me wonder what does the future hold for younger people who currently live in other EU countries at the present time?
I am just presenting some the figures given in the House of Commons library, dated 21 March 2018.
The figures given for the Youth unemployment rate ( 16-24 years old) for the following countries were:
Greece 40% Spain 38% (second highest) Italy 35% France 22% UK 11.9%
So maybe it is just me, but if I was under the age of 25 and read these statistics, I wouldn't have a clue to who I should trust.

It,s good to quote the figures however the young people of today will not forgive us if Brexit fails them. Many of them have travelled throughout Europe and enjoyed the many benefits the European Union has given them. When i voted to remain i was voting for their future I still believe many people voted on Sectarian grounds and on Immigration only. This despite the fact the vast majority of immigrants contribute a great deal to our economy.

You,re correct Danny it,s all about opinions. I only wish people would respect other peoples and their beliefs and cultures no matter where they come from. It,s my opinion we are all immigrants on this planet and all of us should have equal human rights. I only hope Brexit works out well for everyone in the uk . Cheers
I challenge anyone out there, if there is anyone, to refute any of the points made here. I do mean debunk any of the points, rather than giving us a lot of waffle about giving us back our freedom etc.

Found this.. How Brits Have Been Brainwashed!! Forget about Russian meddling or US companies pushing fake and ‘dark’ news on the internet to influence the Brexit vote.

It's an outrage what these EU bureaucrats want to force on us true Brits, they'll be wanting us to do away with our food banks, austerity and give our elderly decent pensions no doubt, what next, stopping us bombing some Johnny far away Arab country most of us couldn't point to on a map.

Lets hope one day the ordinary people at the bottom will wake up and realise how we have all been brainwashed over the years with all the above fake news. We have all been taken to the cleaners. The Brexit vote in my humble opinion was in main anti immigrant and a large percentage racist. However i have to accept it and hope we the people get to vote on the final deal which i doubt will be better than the one we left
