is the candleriggs still about???

i remember my granny used to take me there when i was wee, especially near mother's day and xmas so i could get my mum's cards from the big card stall that was there, and just behind it if i remember rightly was a little shoe place, where my gran bought me a lovely pair of red leather boots smile.gif

anybody else got any memories??

I remember candleriggs, but i think the building is still there but the market is long gone.
I remember going to it, as i walked up Argyle street to by my comics in parnie street,
there was a great model shop round there also.

AKA(now A1 i think) also had a stall in the Virginia galleries?

The Candleriggs market is long gone, the area is quite trendy now with fancy pubs and restaurants, changed days from fruit n veg and net curtains smile.gif
